World Bioenergy 2008
World Bioenergy 2008 forms an exclusive and very attractive marketplace for suppliers, manufacturers and buyers of products, equipment, technology and know-how within the international bioenergy sector. Furthermore the exhibition hall is directly linked to the conference rooms and the lunch restaurants making it the strategic choice for exhibitors.
International flash point for bioenergy business deals
Of all the increasing number of international bioenergy conferences and tradeshows around the globe, World Bioenergy 27 - 29 May 2008 will be the most important event of them all. Why? Unlike most other events World Bioenergy places a greater emphasis on the tradeshow itself, integrating it fully with both the conference and the excursions.
From words to action
This growing interest is a result of a worldwide change in attitude, moving from just talking about bioenergy solutions, to actually doing something about it. Bioenergy related projects, from transatlantic biofuel shipments to heating plants of every size and form, are daily making the business headlines. Key decision-makers from around the world will be attending World Bioenergy. All of them have a common objective: to find out how they can commercialise the switch from fossil fuels to renewable CO2 neutral biomass fuels.
Conference delegates are looking for proven suppliers
Globally Sweden has the most extensive experience in the commercial implementation of industrial bioenergy solutions. Already we derive almost 100 terawatt hour's worth of energy from biomass sources, primarily as heating but also electricity and motor fuel. We've proven that a wide range of commercial biomass based systems on the marketplace today are both technically feasible and economically viable. The conference delegates want to see how these work in practice - by excursions to various biomass plants and through meetings with suppliers of know-how, equipment and fuels.
Be involved from the word go
A radical system shift is taking place in many countries and is something that takes time and involves decision-makers on all levels, right up to the European Commission.
This simply means that the benefits of exhibitor participation are to be seen more long-term than is usual with an ordinary exhibition. It's a matter of getting poll position on the grid before the lights go green in a rapidly growing marketplace.
Just how big is the predicted market? Larger than most people might think. Researchers estimate that every newly produced bioenergy terawatt hour creates 300 jobs. In Europe alone, this involves thousands of terawatt hours. Translate that into business opportunities and you begin to realise...
The EU White Book on renewable energy sources calls for a rise in the use of biofuels up until 2010. This will require investments worth hundreds of billions of euro. On top of that, the small-scale sector needs investments worth 400 billion euro.
