Turbine Forum 2008

Scope:
This international conference will focus on the latest needs for modern gas turbine coatings in the hot gas section. Supercritical steam turbine applications will be a new subject with increasing importance.
The coatings have to be adjusted to novel chemical compositions and new high temperature structural materials; coating processes must be reliable and cost effective.

The Turbine Forum 2008:
will highlight coating developments, coatings with outstanding properties and new technologies with improved equipment performance. In five working sessions international experts will present original papers in the following areas:

# Complex MCrAlY Coatings and Bondcoats
# Thermal Barrier Coatings incl. New Ceramics and Low Conductivity Systems/Lifing
# Diffusion Type Coatings (Al, Cr, Pt-Al)

Highly sophisticated
coating processes, combined with better understanding and life modelling of coating performance lead to a high standard of coating performance. New coating technologies will initiate the next generation of coatings with respect to process efficiency, cost and coating properties.

Two pre-conference workshops
on ”Superalloys” and ”Environmental Properties and Coating Selection”, held by experienced lecturers, will provide the opportunity to learn the state of the art in essential technical disciplines supporting the repair activities (both workshops on April 22, 2008).


The Turbine Forum 2008
links science and practical experience in the field of high temperature coatings. You will have the opportunity to talk to and meet the experts in the field of coating developments and processes. State of the art processes will be discussed and potential road maps for the future will be exhibited. Networking with the global players in the coating business, with presidents, chief engineers, marketing and technical managers will enable you to find the critical and cutting edge information. There will be sufficient time left for general audience discussions during the forum, as well as in the breaks, during the lunches and at the conference dinner.
