ENA 2008 The European Nuclear Assembly
Nuclear energy: Developing Europe 's Low-Carbon Economy
The European Nuclear Assembly (ENA), an international conference organised by FORATOM, provides an ideal opportunity for politicians, industry experts and stakeholder representatives from around the world to discuss the latest political, economic and environmental developments in the nuclear field .
The Energy Policy for Europe (EPE) recently adopted by the Council makes a clear and unequivocal link between energy and climate change and recognises the central role that nuclear energy will play in promoting low-carbon energy and competitiveness. For the first time, a European Nuclear Energy Forum has been created to promote an inclusive, transparent and non-ideological debate on the key contribution that nuclear makes to the EU's energy future.
In this context, European Nuclear Assembly will bring together the decision makers of the EU and the energy industry to assess and debate the vital issues surrounding the future of nuclear energy.
High level speakers will focus on investments and economics, security of supply, climate change, public perception, worldwide nuclear development…
Note down the dates in your diary now and make sure that you are part of the debate.
ENA is organised by FORATOM, the European nuclear industry trade association.
Who should attend? MEPs – officials from the European Institutions – Permanent representatives from the Member States – Journalists – CEOs, executives and managers of energy companies – officials from intergovernmental organisations – representatives from NGOs, representatives from the financial community…
